Are you looking to gain valuable experience and enrich the lives of others? Become a tutor!
In partnership with volunteers and community partners, Frontier College is a national literacy organization offering a variety of programs for children, youth, and adults as they work to increase their literacy skills in reading, writing, math, and other subjects.
If you are interested in serving as a “volunteer tutor” once a week for 1-2 hr until April 2018 or more, several opportunities in Fredericton are available, ranging from one-on-one tutoring to small classes in schools, the Multicultural Association of Fredericton, and the Boys and Girls Club of Fredericton (homework, reading and math clubs).
While you don’t need to have experience, tutors are needed who have English, French, and/or math skills and who are enthusiastic, patient, flexible, and creative. Training is provided as well as on-going mentoring & support and recognition.
For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org. You will receive an application form and an invite to interview. Interviews will take place from 15-28 Jan, with a training session taking place in early February.
