Celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday in New Brunswick’s capital city! Enjoy two days of festivities, including top music performances, activities, food vendors, and the largest fireworks display over the Saint John River!

1 Jul: Canada 150 at the Fredericton Boyce Farmers Market

The Market is celebrating Canada 150 with lots of FREE events! Come check out the courtyard and canopy area for the fish pond, bean bag toss, ring toss, cake, cupcakes, and coffee!

1 Jul: Beaverbrook Art Gallery Canada Day Celebration

The Gallery will be open to visitors from noon to 2200 hr for FREE! Come enjoy storytelling, tours, and drop-in self-directed art activities including a sticker collage pop-up and postcards of Canada!

1 Jul: Canada Day BBQ at the Lighthouse

Join Food at the Crowne Downtown for great views of the Canada Day fireworks, a traditional BBQ, and a bar  serving a variety of drinks…all from a lighthouse. Cost is $27.50.

1 Jul: The Capital Complex Canada Day

The Capital Complex is a bunch of bars and tap rooms all rolled up into one complex. The Wicked Vices and Tortue are playing in The Complex, the Hypochondriacs and Sam Salmon are playing in the Wilsers Room, and The Phoenix is hosting a dance party with top hits, funk, and hip hop. Find the area that suits you and enjoy!

Children of all ages are invited for fun and games as our local library kicks off its 2017 Summer Reading Club! Children registered for the Summer Reading Club receive a logbook to keep track of their reading over the summer months. They can register or stop in to get their logbook updated anytime and there are tons of activities planned throughout the summer to celebrate Canada 150.

28-31 Jul: Future Forest Music and Art Festival

Future Forest, now in its fifth year, is an outdoor camping arts festival with a focus on electronic music. It proudly embraces the perspective that there are no spectators at the event but rather participants who in some way contribute to the overall experience.

Where: The event will be located at a wilderness retreat in the middle of an old growth forest on the side of a little river.

29 Jul: L-Jack MMA

L-Jack promotions presents the first ever “UFC Style” MMA event in Fredericton, followed by an after party for the fighters and fans at the Exhibition Grounds with DJ Hawkshaw leading the way.
